Congratulations to Lauren Clemens who has accepted the position of Assistant Professor at University at Albany, State University of New York, starting this fall!

The Polinsky Language Sciences Lab at Harvard University seeks American learners of Korean for two online experiments.
 
Your participation will contribute in furthering research on the Korean language.
In addition, you will receive a $5 check for your time and effort upon completion of each online experiment ($10 in total for two experiments).
 
To participate, you must fulfill all of the following criteria:
a. You must be born in the US.
b. You must currently live in the US.
c. You must never have lived in Korea for more than 1 year.
d. You must be aged between 18 and 35.
 
Each online experiment takes approximately 12 minutes.
You will be asked to rate how natural a conversation sounds.

Once the request is submitted, you will receive an email within 24 hours containing links to the experiments.

We have been developing an Android app that can be used to record and transcribe corpora of understudied languages with the help of native speakers. Check it out here.
